Each to Teach Forum

Meaningful professional development experiences do not only come in the form of workshops and faculty meetings.  Some of the best professional development experiences can come from meaningful conversation about teaching with other educators.

The Each to Teach Forum provides a home for this type of discussion.   Only other educators can participate--to evaluate a video, you must post a video of yourself teaching.

This concept is not new.  Educators in Japan have known for decades the benefits of "lesson study" or the close observation of other teachers and careful observations about how students learn.  To learn more about lesson study, please visit our "More Resources" page.

In this video, Dr. Catherine Lewis, distinguished research fellow of education at Mills College, explains the philosophy and benefits of lesson study.
